so... how "ethical" would it be to download nightshade and then getting a job with an AI training system and running everything used to train the AI through Nightshade first before putting it through to the AI learning system?

ya know, playing devil's advocate with this a bit, I don't mind people using AI for their own stuff, some commission prices are WILD and aside of that it's no different from throwing paint at a wall and taking what you like from it. the generally inherent issue is NOT AI, but how AI was brought into the public, greedy business twits popped out of of nowhere and said "your art belongs to us" and it took way too long for sites to start having settings to opt out of your art being dragged into the AI training models, and even then not every site did it and even the ones that did it's like "is my art REALLY safe" then you had Hollywood get really mad with that Judge that ruled that AI art couldn't be protected by copyright laws due to no human effort going into it, which was the biggest nail in the coffin for what companies were trying to do with AI. then you got Windows now trying to implement AI to take screen shots of your browsing history/activity through google and google docs. had they come out with protective/privacy settings then brought out AI, I doubt there would be AS BIG of a pushback as there is rn. but greedy corporate businesses and trash people everywhere completely misusing it.

my current pc is a bit slower and the nightshade version I have takes too long to poison my images, one by one. i tried using nightshade to make patterns you could use as filters with different keywords on them, would that work to poison AI?

I just wonder if it actually works. Before I left FB a while back, the digital art groups I was in were constantly going back and forth about glaze and nightshade not being effective due to how generative AI was trained and how it produced. I'd never used it myself, so I couldn't really confirm or deny, but word among those more experienced than myself (using computers and bigger drawing software) was that it wasn't nearly as useful as it was made out to be.
