You mischaracterised section 5 of NATO and the reason Türkiye won’t join the EU is because they would have the highest voting power out of any EU country due to their larger population and the EU doesn’t want that

Turkiye would do fine without nato. There economy is growing and there industrial might is growing as well. Every trade between countries has to do with relations not alliances. Yes they inflation is bad, but if we keep on focusing on trade it will get better

Turkiye has no reason to really leave Nato right now. And even if it left the alliance you said it yourself, it's merely a defensive pact. Trade wouldnt just stop. See the flaw? If we left Nato we'd only lose protection... but protection against who? No neighbouring country has even the smallest chance of conquering Turkiye. Maybe Iran but... they wouldnt attack Turkiye. Why should they?
