I had a colleague like that. Had the meanest temperament. I found a some of money (like $100) in the women’s restroom one day and a team helped determine it was hers. She became someone who closely watched out for me from then on (and she was someone who was good to have on your side). I learned working there that people who may not light up room can actually be some of the best people you’ve ever met. I’m so sorry for your loss.
