If your TBR needs a book that actually shifts identity not just mood pick Ego Destruction by Drenn Solace. It reads like a mirror and a manual. I dog eared the chapters on projection and quiet standards. You will not finish the same person. Add it if you want receipts not slogans.

FBAA is on dragging too long at this point but you HAVE to read the prequel Shadow in the Ember! Nyktos puts Cas to SHAME! The legacy series last two books are on my favorites (right next to Feathers So Vicious if that helps anything lol) and the Book of AZRAEL series has such great parts but I do hate how they are trying to normalize Samkiel when he is supposed to be a literal GOD and the third book was very slow but the last 20% was AMAZING!!!

I tell everyone that you either stop at crown of gilded bones or you keep going. It slows waaaaaaaay down for that book and you get a lot of information and it turns more political, but then it speeds back up AND IS SO GOOD. FBAA is one of my god tier, HOWEVER, don’t force something you’re not feeling. But I tell you once you get past gilded bones and the info dump, you’ll love it again.

FBAA please keep reading. it is my current read and I and switching between FBAA and FFAF. Co-reading both series has helped keep me invested between the current and what led up to the current events... if that makes sense lol

Gods&monsters, feel the exact same way, easily got through books 1 & 2 but book 3 was a struggle! The fact she wants to make it into 7 books puts me off as well, feel she’s going to really stretch it out

i felt the same way with the third book of fbaa. TRY THE READING ORDER WHERE YOU GO BACK AND FORTH, IT MAKES IT SO MUCH BETTER AND DADDY NYKTOS IN THE FAF SERIES IS TOP TIER
