And here I am, 57, 100 lbs overweight and my insurance co won’t approve an injectable med unless I complete 6 months of a medically supervised weight loss program- which I’ve done 3 times in the past, along with having gastric sleeve surgery 10 years ago…

Grateful for my life these days….however, As a 49 year old with PCOS- had this been around 20 years ago- I would have had a much different life.

Also, Glp-1’s aren’t just for weight loss. They weren’t even originally intended for weight loss. They regulate so many things in our bodies and after she had Olympia and she dealt with so many health concerns, her body was never the same. Yes, she still in the lead athlete and yes, she takes a GLP-1.

In the same vein people who are thin are not always healthy.

we all should be able to have control over our own bodies and good for her if she has found something that works for her as it has for so many. The only issue I have is that her husband is on the board of the medicine she is taking. Doesn't mean she doesn't need it or shouldn't have it, just maybe before she went on this huge campaign, that might have been disclosed. just seems like a conflict of interest that didn't have to be.

There is a great clip, of Nicky Glasier on Jimmy Fallon, about this. I’m paraphrasing-“the shame comes from thin people that want you to stay fat, because thin is the only thing they have going for them.” Everyone should check it out.

I don’t think it’s an issue (or anyone’s business) that she’s using a GLP-1. The problem is that her husband is one of the main investors in and board members of the company she’s promoting.

You have no idea of the long term effects of this drug. STOP. I took Phen Phen in the 90s and I have major health issues.

As someone, who had lost 110lbs on GLP-1 with no issues except obese class 3 started at 50 my 3 yr anniversary is Sept 9th. I’m way healthier and happier I suspect I added years to my life and issues were avoided by my GLP-1! No judgement to anyone- people need to do what’s right for them!

If an elite, medal winning athlete benefits from these….what does that tell you???, shows exactly how these GLP1’s are needed.
