A moment where mom guilt and so much pride collide. it is not new to anyone that these past couple months have been a little overwhelming for me. I do try my best to keep my big feelings away from my kids but sometimes slip. I was becoming overstimulated and this is a prime example of something so small like the knocking down of magnet tiles that triggers panic and rage. However, before this episode could even begin, my daughter recognized my dysregulation, and immediately told me to stop and take a huge breath. I was taken back because I was unsure of what she said at first and then she physically showed me to inhale and exhale… I AM SORRRY WHAT!?? I immediately forgot about my downward spiral and was filled with so much joy, gratitude, and pride! In this moment i also had an instant flashback and felt my abandoned inner child get this bigggg hug.. all thanks to my daughter!
