@iknowforrest: Everyone thinks motivation is the missing piece.
But motivation is unreliable,it spikes, it crashes, it disappears on the days you need it most. The people who succeed don’t rely on motivation. They rely on systems that reduce friction and make consistency automatic. Here’s how to set yours up: * Friction beats willpower. If the gym feels like a 20-minute hassle, you’ll talk yourself out of it. Lay your clothes out the night before. Train at home if that’s the only way to get it done. Make it easier to start than to skip. Give yourself the 10 minute rule: Just put in 10 min before you decide to go home. 90% of the time you end up staying. * Triggers build momentum. Anchor new habits to things you already do. Example: After finishing a zoom call do 20 sit-ups. After making dinner put leftovers in a container for tomorrow’s lunch. Put a pull-up bar in a door and do a pull-up every time you walk through it. Small, mindless cues add up. * Environment > discipline. You’ll eat what’s around. If the pantry is stocked with chips, you’ll grab them. If the fridge has cooked protein and veggies ready, that’s what you’ll eat. Design your environment to match your goals. * Track behaviors, not moods. Progress isn’t about whether you “felt motivated.” It’s about whether you hit your steps, workouts, and protein targets, day after day. * Motivation is a spark. Systems are the engine. Build the engine, and you don’t have to keep looking for the spark. #WeightLossJourney #FitnessMindset #NoMotivationNeeded #ConsistencyWins #HealthyHabits

You're awesome. You had a video a while back, that talked about planning meals around protein, which I took to heart, and have dropped about 6 pounds so far. When I make sure I get the right intake, which I always pair with green veggies of some kind, it just works. Thank you!
