I HOPE everyone knows gingivitis can cause heart disease and also lead to other issues. It’s important to brush you dogs teeth and get them cleaned if need be! Ask your vet about 3rd party options 🫶🏾

It’s very hard to do standard dental cleanings when the vet charges almost 1k for a basic cleaning. It’s not affordable anymore. Used to be but not anymore

Tooth infections are extremely dangerous for cats and dogs. Please listen to your vets. If you're worried about anesthesia, find a dental specialist that monitors their heart the entire process.

It’s expensive because dogs get put under anesthesia/ivf, pre-anesthetic bloodwork is done, dental radiographs, cleaning/polishing and possible extractions. So depending on how bad it is, it will probably be $1000+. Brush your dogs teeth 👍🏻

If you have concerns about your pet, go see your veterinarian and follow their recommendations. If the cost is outside your budget, find a vet whose services are more affordable. At the end of the day, only you and your veterinary team can make a meaningful difference in your pet’s health.

Brushing you dogs teeth daily or weekly is always going to be what works best. And if a dog has built up tartar no “magic” powder on their food will fix things. If a vet is recommending a dental cleaning it’s for a reason. And if a tooth needs to be removed it’s because it’s past saving and is causing pain/harm to the dog.
