3’ on center is correct. I work in commercial landscape and that is a typical hedge spacing speck. Any further apart and it may never grow together, if it does will take forever.

The spacing is correct but the issue is it’s a monoculture. If one gets a disease the rest will. And instead of replacing one plant you will be tasked with replacing all of them.

Yep! Coming from someone who spaced them too far apart and then had to plant new ones to fill it in 🙄… 3 ft apart is perfect for a hedge. You have to know that you will need to maintain and trim them. People are just lazy

Folks been planting flowers for one minute and they’re suddenly experts. You did the research it’s your project so they should kick rocks. I planted trees on an angle, on purpose, imagine what response that would get!

You’re correct. If you don’t plant them close enough, you will get gaps in privacy.
