I always thought that Dracula was a metaphor for the Papacy - as in the position, not the religion - which had such a draining impact on Ireland.

Yassss! I’m not alone! I read an article saying that Brahms mother lived through a terrible plague as a child! Ibelieve the article even said a ship brought the plague to her village! I’ve been planning on doing research for it for Halloween!!

I wasn't and I was delighted to learn it when an Irish folklorist that did a video on here some months back. He suggested an Irish vampire movie that was one inspiration Coogler had for Sinners. Boys from County Hell. It's pretty good.
