They used to do this to me while I was in the hospital while I was pregnant and one day I lost it on a nurse and after that I had a note that said do not go in until 9 am

the hospital i went to (not a nurse) they did a circle at the nurses desk. I was close enough to hear the reports. I didnt remember name after 20 seconds anyways.

Honestly I want to make an app or something to connect local nurses and other healthcare workers who want other healthcare workers to be the healthcare POA and major decision maker, but don’t just want to ask random co-workers bc it feels awkward. So, it’s like a dating app sorta. We narrow it down, meet for coffee or whatever, and talk about advanced directives. Or even just a place to let your coworkers know that you’re up for being the decision maker. Someone should do this, actually. Not me, I’m tired. But someone.

I don’t do bedside despite what they tell me. I walk by all of my patients before taking report and if they’re awake and with it, I’ll say hi and introduce myself. But otherwise, report is not bedside.
