This is exactly right. We look at this as if we individuals are the mega corporations but we need to become our own new nano corporations. And this means better opportunities for older people, too, not just new grads.

it seems like the only folks that win with AI are the shareholders and CEO's; and they are willing to set the world on fire building data centers so an AI agent can tell us what time the pool opens. Can't we turn the bots loose on closing cold cases or maybe working on cataloguing data across the world for cancer research?

Yes I agree to some point but not everyone can become an entrepreneur. This is why there few companies and million of people that pledge to work on them. The equation cannot balance easily and there are not not work for everyone or atleast good jobs

My problem with this is that is what college supposed to do. The reason to go to UNI is to be able to acquire qualifications that will land you a job. But now we are looking at companies wanting to hire expert consultants that leaves juniors unemployed
