my character's transformation furthers his connection to his darkness. when my character transforms he is calm cold calculating and only thinking of protecting his loved ones no matter what.

Ah, the transformation doesnt always need to get the job done. It can be used a s a check point in the character getting visibly stronger and learning more about the power they have. And even if they still lose, they know they have something to train for and work for now. If they make it out alive. For example, Ultra Instinct, it didn't defeat Jiren, but now Goku has something hes working for and trying to master.

What about force transformation? Like when the character enters rage mode or is tricked to change by making the Main Character think someone is dead? Idk I remember seeing a character in a show lose control of themselves

welp i accidentally followed both tips then, it was the only way a character i made could stop someone who essentially had god powers, and the transformation showed her her true form so 🏳️⚧

my character has the ability based of stretching and electricity(like,tf limbs into electricity,then shift them to be in a way needed,however these parts are still a part of them,they cant like shoot it,the colour of it tho is yellow), he's all jokes,funny guy and etcetera because he doesnt wanna intimidate,seem like a joke and etcetera,with his hand sign being middle and ring finger poking out because "if that 🤘🏻or that 🤟🏻 is a 'deeevil' sign,then the vice versa of it is angel sign!" one time he went onto another planet,and then he tried to use his powers,well... it changed to colour purple,he started to act more cocky,stopped to hold back,and is been a menace in someway,and just always used a cape,tried to look tuff and have as much aura as he can(like,aura farm,yk),using 🤘🏻 sign cuz it makes him look cool and etcetera,with this tf thing being about them automatically adapt their power to the opponent(firstly stats are being putten in a way he sees fitten,then goes more and more adjustment until his stats will be perfect to counter-attack opponent)

So like, I made the main Character gain a transformation in this lil story i'm working on in my head, After he absorbed the power of a Star, He's not exactly changed, But he has this lil Orange-ish glow, And uh he is now thinking of not holding back, Bc he was trying to contain the villain without killing him

My character is a custom kamen rider and all of his forms has a change to make him go berserk because he learn in the first chapters I am writing this as a fanfic I am getting all of the chapters done before posting and we learned that the character dna is unstable and that what causes him to go berserk which just makes the suit more jagged and sharp is it a good transformation when I make true character go berserk

nobody cares, but in my novel, the transformation is always foreshadowed along the history, the protag most of times ends up losing parts of his body or even knocking the death's door for fighting. when he is able to use the transformation it's already too late, he will die sooner or later, the transformation will only make it faster but he thinks "i've never had control of my life i want others to have control of their life so they don't go through i what i went through" so he dies in that state. not a super saiyan, just his own poison taking his life on exchange of a brighter future. without him
