I too did a Picc line. I had it removed after each infusion. With a temporary ostomy bag, I did not want the Picc line in til my next infusion as well as the bag. I couldn’t do both. And it is not bad at all. The chemo goes right in.

I finished chemo and doing radiation at the moment. My port is being placed next week because my veins are shot now from chemo. They can’t get a vein. I have immunotherapy every 3 weeks for a year left.

Wow, I didn't even know that was an option. They didn't give me an option. They just said I needed a port. Don't get me wrong I love my port because I don't do well with needles either and it's so much better than being poked in my veins every time. But it would have been nice if there were options.
