Can you do a breakdown of why everyone warns against statins? I hear it from people all the time but no one ever says why. I’ve been on rosuvastatin for a few years now and it’s worked for me.

I’m sorry can you please explain why people are against statins? I have been on them for a while and they might as well be a sugar pill. I feel literally nothing, no changes except I have like no cholesterol anymore 😂

Are you considering that she is perimenopausal/menopausal and the role declining estrogen plays on cholesterol clearance? Would you suggest lipid lowering medications or HRT?

I have Ibs D and can go into flares for a month or so normal colonoscopy when I go into a flare, my albumin etc. goes down and my cholesterol becomes 100 with an LDL of 28 normally my whole life my cholesterol is never been over 135 and my LDL’s never been over 50 or 60 does it make sense that because I was barely eating during my flare and constantly running to the bathroomthat my cholesterol was affected

LDL Is a carrier, not cholesterol it transports cholesterol in your body triglycerides runs in your LDL carrier too much triglycerides and low HDL creates more inflammation

67 year old male. Everyone that I know who has told me that they don’t want to go on statins to lower cholesterol has had a stroke or heart attack. 4 and counting. One was a coworker who was 37 years old. Had a heart attack while shoveling snow. He was hoping praying would help lower it.

I had LDL of 125 for 40 years and only now did a doctor recommend a statin in 2025. I’m 66 and just had a Zero CAC score. So saying she definitely has plaque is misleading.
