Are you saying that we need at least 4 satellites locked in to our phones to get a location?

how come atomic clocks are good, but atomic bombs are bad?
Isn't that concerning?

So does that mean they have 14 billion satellites? One for each person? Wow

Umm but when I changed my phone time, it didn’t change my location in google Maps. Why so?

The time difference is due to both special relativity and general relativity. Satellites travel at 14,000 km/h while you (on Earth) are traveling 1000 km/h along with Earth's rotation. Therefore, the satellite experiences time slower than you. But because if their altitude (the affects of gravity), they experice time faster than you because you are closer to the Earth's core (so Earth's gravity has a greater affect on you). The two don't cancel each other out as the gravitational force has greater affect. So the satellite gains 39 microseconds per day relative to a clock on Earth. It's this gain for which the satellites must compensate. I think to think of it as the satellites are sending you info from the future. 😉

There is an issue - the satellite travels in time, so without time travelling adjustment, gps does not work.

I think the minimum is 3 points to pinpoint your location, and there is a thing aGPS assisted GPS that uses phone companies towers to find your location, it's not very accurate as the satellite, but is way more efficient in power, and now I think phones use bought for low accuracy like the weather app doesn't need you exact location down to the meter.

A nanosecond a day drift is 30 cm/day, how do they correct for that? Resynchronise with a ground-based clock?

wrong, u need 3 satellites to triangulate u, not 4

Now you gotta talk about how relativity messes with that and why we needed to change our understanding of gravity
