@keikobeautynyc: This trip to Hawaii almost 2 years ago is yet another reminder to be present, but be in expectation for the tides to change. This was the first vacation my family was able to take after a really, really rough 4-5 year period. A time that looked and often felt bleak, hopeless, empty, and forever draining. A time when all I did was focus on getting to the next day, because I knew that was still moving forward. During that time I focused inward, tried to build myself up, and most importantly…I had hope. Hope to be in expectation of what would come next! Hope to believe that greater and better would come! Hope to believe in God’s plan! Whatever your situation looks like today, always remember seasons come and go and things do change. What life looks like today is not what it will be in 1 week, month, or even year from today. This vacation was not just about frolicking on the other side of the country with my family and the ability to share it now with you all. It was about hope! The hope that has and continues to sustain me. If you can take anything from what I have shared— I pray it is hope. A forward thinking belief that helps push us in the right direction.
