That was NEVER MY POINT 😭, this match was a match that we'd meant to show how good blue lock was after their training and the NEL. My problem was that Nigeria were used as the catalyst to show How good blue lock is, that was my problem, Not that Kaneshiro was being racist for allowing Blue lock to win 😑

I will say Japanese mangaka do have a crazy racist history I did side eye it a little at the beginning bc I thought it might be a case of “knock the black people off first” BUT. Upon further reflection I don’t think this is the case. Kaneshiro clearly has at least more respect for black people than a lot of mangaka do, he’s actually giving them clean designs, depth, and backstory and avoiding racist caricatures that a lot of mangaka use. It’s nothing crazy but it’s more respect than most mangaka give black people
