The investigation began on August 14, 2025, following a report that Emmanuel had been kidnapped from a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa. But after a series of interviews and a review of digital evidence, investigators determined the kidnapping never happened. They now believe Emmanuel is deceased.
