I gave up, I now stay up all night and hold her while she sleeps and her dad takes care of her during the day while I sleep all day. You win and you lose, I lost. Little miss runs this household 😂😭

I do that and then 10 min later (once I’m almost asleep) he starts heavy grunting and seems uncomfortable

I've been a preschool teacher for over a decade and the gentle eyebrow/nose strokes has worked on almost every kid I've ever put down for a nap...so naturally my baby HATES it 😂

My son will be so deeply asleep but will always wake up when we try and put him in the bassinet 😭😭😭

my baby gets startled with me just lifting her to put her in the bassinet then wakes up 🥲 she hates swaddles too, she likes to be free so she always wakes herself up from startles. Hates swaddles but loves being squished and cuddled tight during contact naps. doesn’t make sense to me lol

As another poster said, my baby goes down fine then moments later he’s grunting in his sleep like uncomfortable. If I put him anywhere else to sleep besides the bassinet, it usually doesn’t result in the grunting. What is that?? I thought maybe gas but the fact he doesn’t do it unless I put him down to sleep in his crib idk anymore. I feel like he just would rather be in my proximity and he’s like pouting by way of grunting.

Been struggling to put my son down the past week as hes been wanting to contact nap, and just tried this and it worked🤯 whether or not he will stay asleep is the question but he didnt wake up placing him down🥳

I just did it, and it worked!!!! I think my problem was that i was swaddle him after he was fell asleep so of course not every time he would stay asleep

i made sure my baby spent a good amount of time in her bassinet at the hospital when she was born. we were there for a week. now i can put her in her bassinet awake and she is content and falls asleep on her own. she is 7 weeks old 🤍

I got good at this but now that he’s 9 weeks we have a hard time training him to fall asleep on his own. He’s getting better but he’s used to the rocking and holding

I do this, I put her down in her bassinet and she’s very asleep but then a few mins later once I lay in bed she wakes up and starts crying. It’s exhausting! She won’t sleep unless she’s in my arms
