Okay, then Trump should send the guard to every city with a high crime rate. There are cities in red states that have a higher crime rate and IL doesn’t even rank in the top ten for violent crime. 8/10 top high crime states have Republican governors. Why isn’t Trump sending the guard to OK, TN, or MS? Also, the crime rate wa higher during his previous term, why didn’t he deploy the guard then?

Yes, the police do do their job and go after these criminals. That's not the problem. The problem is, with the district attorney, the democratic jackasses, who refuse to prosecute criminals. Our POS governor stands by their side.
