Oh i loved every second of reading it ! It’s short but intense. More about the mind than the story. It feels like Dostoevsky holds up a mirror to the darkest parts of human nature

Notes from the underground is such a strange read. Dostoevsky highlights that some people actually think and act like that in the opening. To be honest i don't want to belive him. The way the underground man thinks and lives is devastating, saddening, and repulsive.

this an interesting observation that Doestevsky makes about alters controlling the Self while thinking & blaming the Self is responsible when it's clearly an alter/IFD part/psychological introjects. I wish people would look into DID, OSDD, structural disassociation, amnesia barriers & how ubiqitous that is in "civilized" people & how negatively affected they uniquely are by their "civilization's" intentional creation of harmful introjects ...just like research has shown different cultures have actually positive schizophrenic voices & they are allowed to trace it to the person in their life it comes from whereas Western "civilized" people are abused in such extreme ways that an amnesiac barriers & the new alters pop out that after extreme abuse of children stay hidden to the person
