Hi Emma, my spleen has been enlarged for over 7 years, a little before my liver transplant. I was told that it becomes enlarged to “help” the liver when it is struggling. I was told that once enlarged, it stays enlarged but you can live a relatively normal life with a splenalomegaly. I truly hope that this helps. I believe that exchaging information amongst transplant recipients is helpful. Please stay strong, I absolutely agree that it can be so exhausting and horrible of an experience with it’s hopes and fears and downs like so many people can’t even fathom. It’s freeging hard to go through but you’re a warrior. That includes allowing yourself to be discouraged but you’ve got this! Sending you much love, prayers and resilience vibes! 💚🙏🌷

I’m so sorry Emma. If you gotta cry and scream then cry and scream. You don’t have to act strong when you’re feeling weak. You’ve always had such a positive outlook on life even in the past after going through so much. I think you’ll get through this no matter what’s going on health-wise, you’re really freaking strong, you’ve gone through hell and back already.

My husband had primary sclerosing cholangitis, he’s completely stopped going to doctors appointments and work ups saying “there’s no point, it’s the same every time”…. No cure, no treatment, just transplant when you’re bad enough. I just wish he would have that fight in him for us and our kids. Please do not give up, I know it’s hard, all of your feelings are valid and we will never truly know what you are going through since we are not the ones experiencing it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

My daughter has a kidney transplant 3 years ago. Today we went for a check up and the Dr said. You know she still sick even with the transplant and it gutted me. I am sorry you are going through this. No one should.
