Check your bike laws. Some states let the bikes on the sidewalk provided they are going under 20. Mine just requires i give right of way to pedestrians.

If you know a bump is coming, stand a little on the peddle and use your legs as suspension. It's not foolproof but its something.

it might be good to zip tie your battery to the bike if you don’t have to detach the battery to charge it :)
