What fries me is the fact that they’ll send you back home and you end up having more freedom that you did in the US. I’ve seen kids get sent to Nigeria then come back to the US even worse than they were before 😭

It’s just an immigrant thing in general since America is considered a lot less strict in traditional things when it comes to children so when you start “acting up” the parents feel they have “failed” you in a certain way and maybe even assimilated too much, so they send you to family who they know are much stricter
