This is your opinion, and whilst it may or may not be a reasonable assessment in the context of third party analysis, the law should have a higher evidentiary standard. Prosecuting people for speech, no matter how unpalatable or offensive to one’s particular sensibilities, is both wrong on a fundamental level and more importantly opens the door to the kind of tyranny we see in other countries where dissidents are prosecuted for the same ostensible charges as outlined here. We are either a free country or we’re not, and that includes the freedom to be hateful (so long as that isn’t explicit incitement, which this case isn’t). You should be careful because the very laws you are defending here today can one day be used against you.
