Whether it’s acknowledged/identified or not, it’s still reality. Players are already sharing the field and locker rooms with gay men—they just might not know it. And has that harmed them in any way? No. So why should the truth need to stay hidden?

Honestly, AFL is so behind today’s society, I don’t understand why today it’s still an issue with AFL players wanting to date the same gender without people slurring, mocking.. and at worst case, making it a headline.. it’s appalling!
