It's possible investigators took him out there based on phone records or some sort of evidence pointing there, in HOPES they would get a confession from either Jake or Rebecca. He may not have confessed anything at all. Personally, I think that's what happened considering Rebecca did an interview recently, sticking with the "kidnapping" story. If they don't have enough evidence, and or a confession of some kind they could potentially walk free...

What information was given that the baby had health issues? I’ve only heard the parents and family say he was healthy and only had a lazy eye.

Remember Casey Anthony, was able to avoid a conviction, even though they had a body, they couldn’t determine the cause of death because decomposition had occurred. If they find the babies body, and it’s too decomposed, and they are unable to determine cause of death it could be difficult to secure a conviction.

Unfortunately with the initial kidnapping story that makes no sense, becuz the state would immediately bring it up like well you said this happened this and their goes any "credibility" they have. I think he 'confessed' that she did it, put it all on her and said he didn't find out the kidnapping was fake until later

Can they subpoena all the doctor visits, birth certificate, everything they can? Then show pics of him when his face looked normal and how he later looked similar to a baby that has been the victim of shaken baby syndrome and compare that to his history? I in no way shape or form have any legal background, just being respectfully curious. Thanks for your info!!

Jake said multiple times how “healthy” the baby was in that first interview. They shouldn’t let them tell some crazy story the defense comes up with. 😞

People are saving their is no charges on the record. Or they were taken down. Is it possibly they have Jake and Rebecca in movement to court house? This happened when Jake was in the field with investigators. When he went back to jail his charges went back up. Does that happen with inmates when they move facilities or out of the facilities?
