@miahhcarter: Replying to @☁️N I A M H I’ve been on my period for almost 8 months straight. 🩸 7 months + 4 weeks of constant bleeding, pain, and exhaustion. The other day I spent 15 and a half hours in A&E. I couldn’t stand, I couldn’t walk, I was hunched over two chairs in absolute agony. And yet… I had to beg just for basic pain relief. This isn’t just about me. This is about how women’s health is treated every single day. We are dismissed. We are ignored. We are told to “just get on with it.” But if the roles were reversed, if it was a man experiencing this pain, would the response be the same? Yes, we are lucky to have the NHS and I’m grateful that we don’t have to pay thousands upfront. But free healthcare does not mean we should be treated without dignity. We deserve to be taken seriously. We shouldn’t have to go private just to be heard. I’m having surgery this week (a laparoscopy) just to try and find out what’s going on with my body. But it shouldn’t take years of begging, endless appointments, and hours of suffering in A&E for women to get answers. I’m making this video for awareness, because I know I’m not alone. So many women have been through the same. Our pain is real. Our voices matter. And it’s time for change. #womanshealth #pcos #endometriosisawareness #adenomyosis #womensupportingwomen

I was 'diagnosed' with PCOS when I was 13, had scans, blood tests everything. Then this year (now 26) when I mentioned I want to be tested for endo as my period pain is excruciating and because I have PCOS it might be a byproduct & my doctor looked at my record and was like you dont have a diagnosis of PCOS?! - I had to literally bring in the scan appointment letters and confirmation of diagnosis to be believed. Then all I got was an 'oh'.....

It’s shocking that women still don’t get allowances for days off at work for our periods! Unacceptable. The pressure of having to come in regardless of pains or visible immobility in a lot of cases, puts unnecessary stress on us on top of the hormonal changes we experience during our periods, what don’t they get!!!!

I bled everyday for 12 years. Only a few weeks ago I was diagnosed with adenomyosis. Frustratingly enough, when I was 14 they found an anomaly but did nothing about it, so I spent all this time thinking there was nothing I could do. I’m still waiting for a gynaecologist appointment to see what I can do next.

If we were bleeding and in pain from another part of our body it would be dealt with immediately. so why must gynaecology issues be left?. so sorry your dealing with this sending love ❤️

Definitely endometriosis, i was exactly the same finally had surgery 7 years ago to be told i was riddled with endometriosis and it was in every nook and cranny they lasered it and my ovaries (PCOS too) and honestly it was the best thing my pain dramatically dropped during each period, don’t get me wrong it grows back but it really really helped. At 31 i was diagnosed with premature ovulation failure (premature menopause) no periods ever again and minimal pain now. Feel your pain babe 🩷

I've had a "period" for 9 months and gone without them for 9 months. no normal pads would ever do me for even 5mins. i had to cut nappies into long pads for myself and they would only last half hour while laying down. the clots are like big lumps of liver running down my leg onto my slipper onto the floor. I'm in absolute agony morning noon and night , bent over without alot of pain meds every 4 hours and still cant cope with the pain. i feel soo nauseous with the pain especially in my left side into my hip. down my legs. they said ive PCOS and was told i had endometriosis WITHOUT giving me a Laporosopy. they will not gimme the surgery. they just threw me the pill and im still bleeding daily and im on the pill 3 year in October. was told i need €20k+ for Laporosopy surgery in Ireland 😭💔
