The real reason is because the maga movement is predicated on a parasocial relationship with Trump. If you listen to his rhetoric and speeches he’s constantly talking to “you” or complaining “you” or saying the problem is “then”. His inclusive and exclusive language makes people think his policies are personally to help “you”. That is until you start to actually feel the effects of his policies.
