@crmnallyobsessed: A Boone County, WV judge determined that the grandfather charged in the starvation death of his 14-year-old granddaughter is not competent to stand trial at this time. Kyneddi Miller was found dead in her home in April 2024, as deputies say she was "emaciated to a skeletal state." Her mother, 50-year-old Julie Miller was the first to be charged, and then the grandparents, 76-year-old Jerry Stone and 78-year-old Donna Stone. Jerry's attorney, Lauren Thompson, said doctors have determined Jerry's decline started in 2021, two years before Kyneddi's death. She argued he did not have the wherewithal to know what was going on or knowingly commit an act of violence. Jerry’s case was then severed, meaning he is still charged with murder but no longer a co-defendant with Julie and Donna. He will be committed to a mental institution, meanwhile Julie and Donna await their December 2 trial. #truecrime #patheticparenting
