This humble but gigantically intelligent human has changed my view of the world. Supremely hard working, philosophical, brave, open-minded and forward looking. The world is an agent, consisting of agents, themselves consisting of agents. Is Mike an idealist? A panpsychist? Is physicalism just, dead and gone? Not sure - Mike focuses on the lab, and what can be learnt therein - but his questions are not constrained by *any* metaphysical assumptions - this is true science right here. Right? Mike is a developmental biologist, widely respected and published, but also a frontier-thinker - rejecting the obvious constraints and absurdities within prevailing "physicalist" ontologies. Life-changing clarity of thought, and field-changing insights. I consider myself hugely privileged to exist in a time where scientists like Mike are entering the arena.
