Toledo, Avila, Segovia all great but Toledo is my favorite place to go if I want to get away from Madrid. ❤️I like to just walk around and get lost. Also did a tour once cause why not and truly enjoyed learning the history of it which made me appreciate it so much more.

Have you ever been to Trujillo? We see going to both places from Madrid and it takes about the same time on a train but we have to go to Trujillo first. I really don’t want to deal with a car but I’ve heard it’s faster (only by 1/2 hour). What do you think? Or does anyone else have any advice who has been to Trujillo?

We stayed overnight in the Parador up on the hill. What an amazing view! We also did the hop on/hop off around the city.
