I read that whole life insurance has a SLOW CASH GROTH🤔 10 to 15 years at least just to have access to 100,000. Is this true?

We have dividend-paying whole life insurance and it’s been working decent for us so far to buy real estate. Will report back in a few years to see if that’s still the same 😅

you were going to pay interest on that loan from the lender anyway, might as well pay yourself and contribute more to your policy

So this is only if you’ve had a whole life policy for 10+ years, correct?

You forgot to mention a few things. 1.) the owner has to wait for the cash value to accumulate before they have any cash value to loan 2.) you still have an interest rate to pay on the loan. you are accumulating the dividends on the loaned money but you still have to pay the loan interest (typically causing a very slight net positive and still better than just paying interest)

So just to be clear when you borrowed against the life insurance policy they just used your policy as collateral but didn’t require a monthly payment with interest for the money you borrowed? Also I was curious if you have the policy in a trust?

I’m an insurance agent in NC and he explained it perfectly. Of course your policy does need time to grow this cash value he is talking about. Or large sum or initial capital.

Yeah…. So glad I got out of my NWM insurance policy. If you borrowed $50k out, you put about $55k in which usually takes about 7-10yrs. I wish I had invested that money differently with greater returns. I’d strongly recommend research before investment

I’ve had my life insurance policy since I was 18, so for 10 years now. I just called and asked how much I could borrow against it and was told it was only at 1000. How does that work?

Well explained! The only caveat is that you still have to have $55,000 liquid in your policy. Which means you still have to save up the $55,000. However, once you have that built up, this is an excellent way of using these policies.
