my bf has a similar issue, but i’m 99% sure it’s because he has sleep apnea or something similar? he never sleeps restfully, but he falls asleep super easily and is nearly impossible to wake up after. plus the super weird breathing and snoring during sleep which is significantly worsened by alcohol. whenever i’ve been forced to wake him up in the past he’s usually just super grumpy and complains a lot and tries to move as far away from me as possible, and maybe he’ll mumble out “stopp” or something and it’ll take like 20 minutes to actually get him up but that’s usually it, and he doesn’t remember anything the next day. but once when he passed out super drunk though i had to wake him up after about an hour, and it ended with him cussing me out and i yelled at him for the first time ever. he didn’t remember almost anything next morning, and i set boundaries on his drinking and nothing like that had happened since (plus he almost never drinks anyways) and we’re good now, but im confused by the comments saying this guy was doing that stuff on purpose. can’t it be a genuine medical issue?
