SIL shouldn't have hijacked somebody else's meeting for her news, because it was inevitable that she was going to feel like she didn't get the attention or celebration she needed. doesn't really matter what it was, but the fact that it was something legitimately important is clearly the rub, because she doesn't even really get to be rightfully angry. she made her bed and now she can lay in it

Pregnancy hormones are a cop-out for bad behavior! I was extremely emotional starting about halfway through my pregnancy w/ them more easily triggered the further along I got, but (for me at least) it just made me super sensitive in the sense of empathy; I would sob over just the thought of someone getting hurt or upset. It didn’t make me selfish or insensitive, only intensified regular thoughts & emotions.

My SIL wasn’t a stage when she got diagnosed because she got it early being in cancer research herself, now, almost 10 years later, she is stage 4 metastatic cancer. It’s NEVER ‘just stage 2’ with cancer. That brother is so callous.

OP‘s sister-in-law wanted to hijack the event and thought probably that it was just a promotion or something and thought she’d be able to hijack the event not realizing that she wouldn’t be able to steal it because it was about OP having cancer I don’t like the sister-in-law she wanted the attention to deliberately wanted to hijack the whole thing
