Yeah that only thing is, SOME people that had the right opportunities will use this as an excuse as to why they’re “failing” even if they were handed the right supplies. Lack of accountability is a problem too.

The problem is you can't just freely throw food, housing, medicine, education at people. It might help some but there's a lot of people where having those things doesn't help them. There's already a lot of programs that provide these types of things and they don't seem to be helping. It comes back to a human problem. Humans need purpose and humans need to work and feel valuable. If you're broke inside to where you don't have the motivation to want to work or keep yourself safe, having access to resources isn't going to help. It's the mental health portion that's lacking and unfortunately that's a really tough problem that cannot always be fixed.
