I’m not trying to sound rude, I’m more so just tired: I really don’t like the line of thought about “look at the size of her ring, that money could have been used elsewhere” it’s the same with people saying “she spent $360M to buy back her music? She could have done so much with that” — so are we going to use that same energy for ourselves? Is every luxury something we should miss out on so we could donate it instead? All the while she does actively donate huge amounts constantly. That’s why I’m fine with her having a big ahh ring, because she donates enough AND she’s not the one who bought it! Travis did and he’s not a billionaire?. And also, she told us she wanted to own her music, so we should have all seen that coming that she’d spend the money she earned to buy back her work? Right? And I know you didn’t say anything about buying back her music, but it’s just the same idea applied to that situation. If she had 900m net worth, no one would be saying anything about her ring you know? And I’ll add that of her net worth, her discography is about 900m of that anyways. So I wouldn’t even classify her as a billionaire simply because of that - like she’s a once in a lifetime phenomenon - who else has a discography worth that much? I don’t think that should count against her. That’s just me. But I just don’t think because she’s a billionaire, she shouldn’t be able to enjoy having a nice ring. We shouldn’t automatically think “that money could have been used elsewhere” especially when it comes to Taylor Swift. That line of thought when it comes to our government - hell yeah. When it comes to billionaires who WASTE so much money - hell yeah we should be holding them accountable.

I agree so much. Two things can be true. I am so happy she found someone who does what he does for her and that she’s happy. Is she required to fix these problems? No. Could she just make a post about it or just acknowledge she’s aware what’s going on? Hell yeah and it sucks she doesn’t but this is why we don’t idolize those we don’t know. you know it's almost kind of ridiculous how much people put people on pedestals who don't actually deserve it. Yes her music is relatable. I liked some of her country stuff and I like some of her pop stuff but I'm tired of supporting or giving my money or giving anything to them if they won't stand up for what's actually right. and this is the problem of our society. it's making you uncomfortable because you know deep down in your heart that they are wrong and this is wrong and this is a terrible time to even be doing any of this. it's a distraction from everything else that's been going on that is important. keep that in mind.

I wish she could be more outspoken, I think some of that could have to do with her safety. A lot of high profile celebs lay low. But just because there’s “things going on” doesn’t mean she can’t be engaged and be happy. She still has the right to have her own life. Realistically, there’s always “more important things”.

Something that helps me is she does give to everyone around her every staff she donates to food shelters and charities of the towns and cities she’s visiting. She gives life changing bonuses to her team down to truck drivers for her stage set. I think there is so much more she can and should be doing but I think it’s important to also see the good she does do compared so many others in her position
