it's because democrats pretty much preach for Republican ideas too which causes more people to think like Republicans on a bunch of issues and why would they trust democrats with that type of stuff over Republicans. you can't out Republican the Republicans especially while fake pandering to leftists. like nobody even knows what democrats do at this point even if they pass some good legislation in very specific areas, people don't understand law. need more grand change.

Think this just shows how ppl have been told to not like Dems as they are the “uncool party” and get blamed. The non political Americans is 99% voting Republican. Dems get hated by leftist for other reasons but this just shows how the media, literacy rate, and education is in hell. Populism is the only way to win an election going forward.

I think this is because of how most people think of these issues. Republicans are better at education because they make sure you’re taught America is awesome and there’s no gay stuff. Which they objectively do. And they’re better at student debt because they make sure students have to deal with debt, not anyone else. And that’s what the average voter cares about. I don’t think the average person is all that altruistic naturally so what they want tends to fall along republican lines, which often (not always) actually do what they hope. It’s just what they hope is really bad

This has always been true. Republicans are great at propaganda. Harris had economic plans that were straight up proven to have worked, some even tested by her VP pick, and yet you see people of every aisle claim she had no economic policy, bc that’s what republicans said. News and social media has either capitulated or straight up been bought out by right wingers disseminate propaganda.

I’m pretty much much dead center politically… I don’t people inherently trust republicans more on these issues — It’s more so that democrats rarely even acknowledge these as issues. I feel like the democratic party and online leftist focused so much on social issues they kinda forgot who their average voter was. Republicans are better at branding. Obama was half decent at it, but after that dems fell off. have a core issue to tackle like Healthcare or taxes. trickle down econ. obamacare. propose a solution to lightning rod issues that appeal across demographics and make the solution look simple. democrats have just been hand waving and saying everything is complicated but trust us we'll keep it from getting much worse. which though true. isn't appealing

I don't think this country is more right-wing, it's more right-wing one biased. Just ask yourself this question. could Kamala ran Trump's campaign and won. Talking about tariffs and all lower prices somehow and swam back and forth in the podium. How many people didn't think Barack Obama did enough but Trump did a good job. He was right after him. People have a problem with Joe Biden but if Trump just did exactly what Joe Biden did people will be talking about, he was pretty good.
