These arguments just keep treading the same ground. Do I agree that Democrats don't have the people's interests in mind? Yes. But I also think that in the absence of some serious organizing that needs to start today, what are we doing about it? We would need an actual, viable third party, with a unified vision and plan for governing, with people that we can trust are not in someone's pocket. Until we build such a thing, any vote is for the lesser of two evils, because I refuse to waste my vote on an independent who has no chance of winning. Just being realistic. And refusing to participate in the face of actual fascism is not an option, and actively harmful to black and brown people across the nation

What do you think of the idea of a tea party style take over of the Democratic Party? There are a LOT of real progressive candidates, most who are running for office for the first time, running at every level and across the nation. I know there will be DNC meddling of course but people are fired up. Mamdani is doing just fine despite the corporate Dems doing everything they can to slow him down

I agree with the need for true revolutionary politics in the country, but we also do need the middle step of social democrat and socialist to get there. The Overton window needs shifting. But too many people are too invested in the team sports to be interested in this conversation.
