Wishing you the best with this treatment. My mom has been getting the infusions for over a year and it has helped in delaying the progression.

My brother has early onset. Almost 18 months on it and I think it stabilized symptoms. Insurance stopped approving and to date he has missed 12 infusion’s. He traveled (not well) and I believe the disease has progressed and we are looking at a new baseline. More emotional and having difficulty remembering during a convo. Walks same route every day and has forgotten his route. Don’t let insurance mess w/ your treatments. ❤️

My mom was on Kisunla, after the third treatment had to stop for brain bleed. Our neuro said she was first patient since prescribing that he’s had to dicontinue. Very disappointing for us but soooo happy there is a new option and an option for you!!

seems like my doctor and I need to have a talk. I'm not sure if this treatment is just for Alzheimer's but I do have cognitive impairment and I have not been able to get him to understand that it's getting worse. I guess probably I need to try to remember that we were supposed to have scheduled that cognitive test again this year

If you get it again ask for pre and post infusion meds like benedryl Tylenol Zurich Pepcid etc they should have a list they can fix based on the reactions you had when you got home

Good to hear that you have started like the infusions! I have been on mine for almost a year now, and I would like to think that they are helping me, I don’t feel that I’ve progressed much since I’ve started taking them. When I had my first one, my doctor suggested that I take some premeds along with it to help with some of the side effects that Usually will happen with at least the first one or few. I take Tylenol at home before I leave, and before the infusion, I get a bag of fluids and solumedrol, a steroid. Even though I did all this after my first infusion, I still got pretty sick that night and the next day. Like you said, headache, cold sweats, flu like symptoms and a slight fever. I’d like to say after three infusions I was able to not do the premeds however, recently I’ve been having headaches so my last one I did the premeds which seem to help the headaches. Hope everything goes well with yours! It sounds like you are at a pretty nice facility, mine are done at the hospital and the norm for me is 2 to 3 hours! Even my doctor, who is at a different hospital an hour and a half away thinks this is ridiculous because there they only take an hour.
