They only speak that way because they have a false idea of two parent household. In two parent households, the mom does the raising, the dad doesn’t. The mother is the one who’s teaching them. This is true for me and my brothers, my cousins, my friends, and the majority of African households. We have had many conversations about how our moms did the raising with our father’s present in the house. Men who’s raised by 2 parents cants complained because all they want is to see a dad. It’s not a man thing, it’s a human thing. Research has shown that it doesn’t matter if it’s a father. It can be two moms, two dads, a mom and dad. Children just like to see two parents since it’s what society tells them to see.
