I saute the gnocchi in butter first and it helps with that sour taste. Lightly brown the gnocchi.

so, they actually add the cooked gnocchi to the soup right before serving so it doesnt oversoften! my mom and I learned this from one of the servers years ago. we would have monthly olive garden dates and get this soup every time
