Agree with your assessment of this collection, although I would argue that saying that Indian fashion is more gender-fluid is just applying western gender norms. I would say that the gender norms, esp around clothing, is simply different rather than saying that they’re ’more feminine’ etc.

Love that you’re covering non-Western designs and couture! Pakistani menswear, both for weddings and less formal events, has a similar long jacket called a shervani. Two points on the pronunciation of “lehnga” and “Diljit:” while there’s an H in the transliterated spelling, it’s not really pronounced, and the J in Diljit is a hard J, not a “zh” sound. Looking forward to more commentary!
