All games from the “brown era” are existent due to the potato gpu power in the generations console. I never fault these change, since I don’t believe it was the dev teams original vision to be so dark. I play a lot of remasters like this and the lighting/colors are always a ‘con’ brought up. But this is why.

Haven't played reloaded so making a judgement on this one clip, but it just seems like another shameless cash grab. Looks like they've cut so many corners and pumped it out barely finished because they know we'll eat up anything nostalgic

Genuinely couldn’t be less interested in Reloaded. I love Gears of War but this is a prime example of ruining the atmosphere, it’s supposed to be gloomy. Gears of War is a horror shooter and this is one of the creepiest missions. Yeah they can fix it in an update but it shouldn’t look like that in the first place.

the new one would look better if they had used darker lighting and used an effect to light the rain separately, but when it comes down to it if you are moving around in original, it looks worse, because its basically just a gif running over the screens pace, rather than actual rain effect
