I’m currently paying $40 for a small square of lucern here can’t find rounds anywhere and a big square is $500 each.. the hay shortage is pretty bad.

It’s the same in the uk there’s a massive shortage due to the summer we have had and we are definitely going to be paying double for hay this year we normally pay £35 but it’s expected to go up to £60/70 a bale thank god I only have the one now and a bale lasts her a month

It’s actually shocking hearing prices of hay over your guys way, I’m in uk and i currently pay £6.50 for small square bales and large square bales are around £80 but our round bales depending on the farmer is between £40-£60. I hope you hay for you guys next year is better

I’m not sure how much your horses are wasting but we’ve resorted to 3cm nets to lower waste. The cattle and sheep have nets too. It’s a rough year and I’m worried for next year as well.
