Well, there’s a muscle that connects all of it and it’s called the Omohyoid. This muscle goes from the shoulder blade through a fascial sling and up to the hyoid bone, making it one of the most important connections in the region. So when the muscle is tight, it can pull the shoulder blade forward and up, and it can pull the hyoid bone down. The hyoid bone has direct connection to the floor of the mouth and the tongue so we can really create a mess. In this video, I show you a simple stretch to release the muscle on one side and don’t forget to do it on the other side. You can either do a longer stretch for a hold or once you’re in the stretch position, you can take several deep breaths, and then relax and complete several rounds of this.
