I wonder if venting is gossiping. Like telling someone what actually happened and how it made you feel after you have already talked about it with the person. Or should we just leave it between us and God.

As a reborn Christian, I’ve learned to tell myself to pray more than I gossip. It’s been hard because I often use to find myself wrapped in gossip . So even when people bring it to me , ive gotten more comfortable with saying. “You know what , I’m learning to pray more than I gossip” . Saying this literally has shifted the conversation & it helps by calling it out for just what it is!

Just go ahead and change the friend group because why are we not just talking about improving ourselves, finances, body, mind, spirit, everything and getting close to the God in all areas. That's what we need to focus on, not gossiping. It's not hard to not gossip. I feel like gossiping is a bad spirit

This is something that God had to deal with me about. I never knew how to not respond, you get sucked in and then there’s the baiting to get you to talk. I had to ask God to help me to be slow to speak but quick to hear. They’ll keep trying you though.
