One phrase I used a lot was "dōzo", which means basically "go ahead" or "here you go". I used it to offer my train seat to older people, to tell people they could go ahead of me in line, to give a gift, etc! I don't know much Japanese so having an easy way to be polite to strangers helped me feel less awkward

These phrases are grammatically correct, but when speaking to strangers, try to be more polite. You can use the ます form to some phrases so the Japanese don't thovrvink you're rude. For example: - いくらですか = いくらでますか (how much is this?) And use すみません almost everytime. Like for example: すみません、いくらでますか (excuse me, how much is this?) I hope it helps :) keep doing these videos, i love them
