Cut the circular base Draw and cut out 5–6 cardboard circles (Diameter: 30–35 cm) Glue the layers together one by one, rotating the corrugation direction each time for strength. Let it dry under pressure (you can place heavy books on top). 2. (Optional) Cut a central hole Draw a 5.5–6 cm wide hole in the center of the top layer. Cut it out. This will allow you to insert the paper tube for extra stability. 3. Attach the paper tube Insert the tube into the central hole (if you made one) and glue it in place. If you didn’t make a hole, just glue the tube on top of the base, right in the center. Let dry completely. 4. Wrap the base with jute rope Starting from the center, glue the jute rope in a spiral outward. Use hot glue every few centimeters to keep it secure and tight. This makes the base both durable and cat-friendly for scratching or lounging. 5. Wrap the tube with rope Wrap the cardboard tube with jute or sisal rope, gluing as you go. This turns it into a vertical scratching post. 6. Add a hanging toy Since your tube is hollow at the top, thread a string through the hole. Tie a toy to one end (like a pom-pom or feather).
